Four students from School of Architecture of the University of Navarra participated in MESA, an international workshop held in Oporto. They were Luis Tena Omarrementería and Carlos Pacheco Peña from Pamplona; Jon Polo Iturregui, from Barakaldo; and Ángela Clúa Longás, from Zaragoza. The workshop commemorated the 25-year career professor of the architect Eduardo Souto de Moura, who received in 2011 the award Pritzker, the 'Nobel' of Architecture.

The activity took place at School of Architecture of the University of Porto. It was attended by 35 students from the Portuguese academic center. Another 14 students were also selected from universities where Souto de Mora has taught teaching: School of Architecture of the University of Navarra - the only Spanish center present at workshop-, the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (Switzerland), the Autonomous University of Lisbon, the University of Coimbra and the University of Minho, the latter three in Portugal.

During the workshop, two curators supported the groups in the development of the proposed works. At the end of each of the sessions, the following speakers gave a presentation lecture : Carlos Prata, Adalberto Dias, Francisco Vieira de Campos, José Paulo dos Santos, Graça Correira and Manel Graça Dias.

In addition, the final presentation of the works was held during a public session attended by Eduardo Souto de Mora; Patxi Mangado, professor at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra; and Camilo Rebelo, general curator of the event. The result of the workshop will be exhibited at the sample Annual Meeting of the FAUP.
