"I like to investigate historical and religious buildings and find in them an experience, the fundamental thing, what we are all looking for, which is to know why we are here," expressed photographer Hélène Binet, who closed the congress Inter-photography and architecture held at the University of Navarra.

" Experiences compete in the photographs and you have to select them. You hear, you smell, there are some colors... I focus on the details, on one of those sensations that can stimulate my imagination," said Hélène Binet, honorary member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and 'Architect Award' by the Royal Academy of Arts in London.

The photographer closed the symposium with lecture entitled 'From John Hejduk to the Atacama desert', where she commented on one of her latest works, which she developed in the Atacama desert, a place "full of energy".

Hélène Binet pointed out that the fundamental condition for making a good architectural photograph is "not just to look for a point of view, but to be connected to the space, to the environment, even to the dream of the architect who built the building."

The congress, organized by the School of ArchitectureThe event, which was organized by the Museo Universidad de Navarra and the project Fotografía y Arquitectura Moderna en España, brought together more than 200 international specialists. For three days, the relationship between two disciplines, photography and architecture, accompanied by the artistic dimension, was analyzed, as well as the way in which both experience and influence each other.
