He also attended the workshop 'Religious Experience Cluster Group', held at the University of Sheffield, (Sheffield, UK, 28-29/04/17).

Javier Bernácer participated in the workshop 'Comprehensive anthropology: formation of embodied memory', held at the University of Heidelberg, with the invited discussion paper 'Neural correlates of habit acquisition from a new perspective' (Heidelberg, Germany, 06/04/17).

 

Luis Echarte presented the oral communication 'Literature as an ultimate tool for teaching and researching the Sciences: Aldous Huxley's Perspective' during the VI International Aldous Huxley Symposium organized by the University of Almería and the International Aldous Huxley Society (AHS) (Almería, 19-21/04/17).

José Víctor Orón visited Mexico, where he presented the UpToYou program. There he offered a lecture on 'Competing Models of Emotional Education ' at the 'seminar of Philosophy of the Education' at the research center Social Avanzada. (Querétaro, Mexico, 1/04/17). He was also invited to the V International seminar of Dentistry, held at the Popular Autonomous University of the State of Puebla, where he presented the discussion paper 'Why does a person go to the dentist? Considerations to address the global reality of a person'. (Puebla, Mexico, 27/04/17).

 

Navarra Center for International Development

Luis Alberiko Gil-Alaña attended a workshop at Brunel University of London (London, UK).

 

 

Joseph Gomes co-presented his research 'The Geography of Linguistic Diversity and the Provision of Public Goods' at the National Bureau of Economic Research Political Economy Meeting.(Boston, USA, 04/21/17).

 

Juan Angel Soto attended the Atlantic Forum, organized by the high school Atlantic Governance. (Madrid, Spain, 04/26/17).

 

 

 

ATLANTES Programme

Antonio Noguera gave a session on bleeding in head and neck tumors and participated in another on digestive bleeding and resolution of clinical cases within the Master's Degree of Palliative Care at the Autonomous University of Madrid. (Madrid, 22/04/17). In addition, he gave two workshops on work as part of a team to sixth-year medical students at the Francisco de Vitoria University (Madrid, 28/04/17).

 

Religion and Civil Society

Rafael Escobedo participated in the I meeting of Young Researchers in Religious Sciences, organized by the association of Young Researchers in Religious Sciences. He presented the communication 'An embarrassing issue: American Catholics and the lack of religious freedom in Franco's Spain' (Madrid, 26-28/04/17).

 

Statistics Unit

Jesús López Fidalgo took part in several activities in Spain.

-Meet with the management team of the Sociedad de Estadística e research Operativa (Seville, 04/04/17).

He also offered a lecture at the high school Universitario de programs of study Financieros (CUNEF) entitled 'Does chance exist?'.

Finally, he was the president of the tribunal of the thesis 'design optimal experiments for mixture models applied in engineering and experimental sciences', defended at the University of Castilla-La Mancha (Toledo, 26/04/71).
