900 schoolchildren participate in the III Painting Competition "The Secret Life of a Painting", organized by the Museum

Students from 18 schools and academies have participated in the competition, carried out at partnership with the Morrás Cebrián Foundation, and the winning works will be on display until June 10 in the Museum's workshops.

To encourage the creation of contemporary art and creativity in children and young people. That is the goal of the school painting contest The Secret Life of a Painting , which this Friday awarded the prizes to the winners of this third edition.

In the competition, organized by the Museo Universidad de Navarra at partnership with the Morrás Cebrián Foundation, 900 students from 18 schools and academies between the ages of zero and 18 participated. Of these, 45 were selected to move on to the next phase, in which the three finalists in each category were chosen.

The artists Javier Basiano, Eugenia Llull and Juan Carlos Pikabea have formed the jury and in the submission of awards have been present Javier Arana, director attachment of the Museum, and Fernando Echarri, manager of area educational center.

The winners of this edition were Guillermo de Andrés, from high school Miravalles-El Redín, award in Education Infant (0-3 years); Andrea Almagro, from the Teresian School Foundation, award in Education Infant (4-6 years); Inés Fustián, from high school Irabia-Izaga, award in Primary (6-12 years old); Noemí Ibañez Albero, from the Teresian School Foundation, award in Secondary (12-18 years old); Lucía María Ruiz Ullate, from high school San Cernin, award in high school diploma and FP Degree Medio; and Sheimi Sakihara Arana, from the Escuela de Arte y Superior de design, award to the Academies of painting and FP of artistic specialties.

The winners of the categories of Education Children have received a award of 50 euros in cash, while the category of Primary has been endowed with a award of 100 euros, that of Secondary of 200 euros and the category of high school diploma/FP Degree Medium of 300 euros. For its part, the award to the best participant of the Academies and PF of artistic specialties is endowed with 900 euros. Also, schools or academies whose students have result winners will get 300 euros for the visit and realization of a school program of the Museum and 200 euros for artistic material-educational.

The 45 selected paintings will be on display until June 10 in the Museum's workshops, at schedule , free of charge. In total, the Museum's educational area has received this year 3,500 schoolchildren from 44 centers, who have participated in various programs and activities.

Winners:
  • award in Education Infant (0-3 years): Guillermo de Andrés, from high school Miravalles-El Redín, with Portada de issue 44 by Cavall Fort.

  • award in Education Infant (4-6 years old): Andrea Almagro, from the Teresian School Foundation, with El Sueño de una Tarde Primavera.

  • award in Primary (6-12 years old): Inés Fustián, from high school Irabia-Izaga, with Caminos.

  • award in Secondary (6-12 years): Noemí Ibañez Albero, from the Teresian School Foundation, with Génesis de un cuadro.

  • award at high school diploma and FP Degree Medio: Lucía María Ruiz Ullate, from high school San Cernin, with Sin degree scroll.

  • award in Painting and VET Academies in artistic specialties: Sheimi Sakihara Arana, from the Escuela de Arte y Superior de design, by Deutzia Gracilis.
