The School of Pharmacy and the Center of Olympic programs of study take stock of Diploma in Sports Nutrition
Of the 32 students enrolled, two have obtained this year the diploma accreditation.
One more year, students from the School Pharmacy and Nutrition have obtained the Diploma in Sports Nutrition, which the School issues together with the Center for Olympic programs of study of the University of Navarra.
Of the 32 students enrolled -25 women and 7 men-, 2 students have obtained the accrediting Diploma , which qualifies them to advise athletes, coaches, doctors or sports organizations to improve their performance. In addition, they have done their internships in entities such as the Center of programs of study, research and Sports Medicine of the Government of Navarra, the Spanish Agency for the Protection of Health in Sport (CSD), or sports teams such as Real Sociedad.
The Diploma, pioneer in Spain and that aspires to be a national and international reference in sports nutrition, has the participation and support of the Spanish Olympiccommittee and the committee Superior Sports.
Alberto Pérez Mediavilla, Associate Dean of the School of Pharmacy has pointed out that, after finishing this course "the balance we make is positive, although we are aware that we have to continue growing". In addition, in reference letter to the Center of Olympic programs of study of the University of Navarra, he has assured that they are "very satisfied with the magnificent complementation that the activity developed by the CEO means for the Diploma , which gives students the possibility of receiving direct experiences of Olympic athletes and sport managers".
