The students of the IX promotion of the specialization program of Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra, as well as the coordinator of the specialization program, Mª del Mar Goñi Leza, visited the facilities of FAES FARMA Laboratories located in Leioa (Vizcaya).

FAES FARMA's main activity comprises the research, manufacture and sale of both pharmaceutical products and raw materials for pharmaceutical use. Recently, its great effort in the activity of research and development has led to the registration of a new product, Bilastin, with antihistamine activity.

The visits to pharmaceutical laboratories are part of the training of these specialists, since it allows them to get to know the environment in which they are most likely to develop their professional work and also serves to interact with students from previous promotions who are working in them.
