García defined the new panorama as a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environment in which "everything is happening very fast". The speaker highlighted the importance of delving into "possible futures" in order to anticipate them, since the changes we are experiencing "are no longer linear, but exponential". He also wanted to highlight some realities of the social framework to take into account in the business management as the demographic factor, the general distrust of institutions and the phenomenon of post-truth.

The businessman stated that in this context "the competitive advantage consists in being an organization manager, which knows how to constantly adapt to changes". In addition, traditional companies "will have to learn to work with agile methods and short processes , making sure that they are responding to the real needs of the client, which may also change". 

The executive also pointed out that the core topic of management "lies in the ability to reinvent itself", for which it is necessary to learn to make decisions in a "complex and chaotic" world, where it is no longer easy to find the cause-effect relationship: "we are moving from a world of analysis to a world of experimentation".

Santiago García stressed the importance of companies moving away from achievable objectives to "aspirational" objectives because "what great companies do is dream, setting themselves difficult challenges without getting frustrated if they don't achieve them".
