Francisco Mangado and César Martín Gómez, professors at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra, have been appointed members of the scientific committee of the 2013 edition of PLEA (Passive and Low Energy Architecture), the world's most important congress on energy savings in architecture.

Two other experts who have recently taught courses at the School are also part of committee . One of them is Simos Yannas, director of the programs of study Program on Environment and Energy at the Architectural Association School of Architecture (AASA) in London (UK), who gave the opening address at lecture of the Master's Degree in design and management Environmental Management of Buildings (MDGAE) in the 2012-2013 academic year. The other is the Finnish architect and theorist Juhani Pallasmaa, who spoke at the V conference on Accessibility, organized by the association Universal Accessibility and the School of Architecture in May 2012.

The international congress PLEA 2013 will take place from September 10-12, 2013 in Munich. Scientists, urban planners, architects, engineers, entrepreneurs and students from all over the world will discuss from different perspectives the future of energy savings at Building, both in new and existing buildings.
