48 students from the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra exhibit their works on Italian Futurism and Russian Constructivism at Civivox Iturrama, until June 28th. The creators freely chose an aspect related to the topic of the subject Monographs of Contemporary Architecture, taught by Professor Carlos Chocarro, to carry out their works.

The sample gathers a selection of the best works and proposes an original plastic reflection on these avant-gardes. "The goal of the initiative is to take advantage of the communication capacity of the plastic arts when it comes to explaining the content of a theoretical subject ," explains Carlos Chocarro. The students have opted for classic artistic techniques and formats, such as painting, sculpture, photography, collage or photomontages, as well as more contemporary formulas, such as installation, video creation or interactive art: "The idea is to achieve a dialogue between image and content with freedom of format and language," adds the professor.

Both Italian Futurism and Russian Constructivism are two of the artistic movements that reached a higher level of political and social commitment Degree . Both trends have in common the radical nature of many of their artistic approaches, although they derived in opposite ideological positions. This is precisely the reason why they have been chosen as epicenters of reflection proposal from the subject.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by Carlos Chocarro, professor at the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra; Ángel García Carreño, manager of the Civivox of Iturrama; and several of the students whose works are exhibited at the center.
