Doctors Jesús San Miguel and Bruno Paiva, awarded by Celgene

The prestigious company has recognized for the first time two Spanish professionals for their contribution to Hematology.

The biotechnology company Celgene has awarded for the first time two Spanish specialists for their contribution to the field of Hematology in the XIV edition of its International Awards to the research in this field.

Dr. Jesús San Miguel, director of Clinical and Translational Medicine at the University of Navarra, has been awarded the award 'Career Achievement', which highlights his extensive professional degree program , with more than 700 international publications, 140 national publications and numerous monographs and contributions to books. Dr. San Miguel is also a member of the advisory committees of the European Hematology Association, the Leukemia Research Foundation, the International Myeloma Foundation, the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation; as well as Genoma España, the Institut d'Investigacions Biomèdiques August Pi i Sunyer (IDIBAPS), the high school de Biomedicina de Sevilla (IBIS), the Carreras Foundation and Pethema.

Bruno Paiva received the award 'Future Leades in Hematology' for his work in the field of hematology in recent years. Dr. Paiva is a member of department of Hematology and Immunology and of research center Applied Medicine (CIMA), where he combines his work as researcher with that of director of the Flow Cytometry Core and coordinator scientist of CIMA Lab Diagnostics. He is also author and co-author of several publications in scientific journals.
