The International Symposium on Microencapsulation, which is being held this week at the University of Navarra, was inaugurated on Monday, September 9, by the Regional Minister of Health of the Government of Navarra, Marta Vera.

After the keynote lecture, at position by the nano-oncologist Patrick Couvreur, specialists from universities in Germany, Austria, Sweden, Italy, the United Kingdom and Spain explained with examples some of the technologies used in the design of new functional particles. The transport and vehicleization of active ingredients and drugs was another of the aspects analyzed at workshop.

The opening of the symposium was also attended by the Vice President of academic staff of the University of Navarra, María Iraburu; the dean of the School of Pharmacy, Adela López de Cerain; and Professor Juan Manuel Irache, member of the organizing committee . The Symposium will bring together in Pamplona until next Wednesday more than 200 international experts from 28 countries.
