The thirteen finalists of the contest La Voz de tu School entered a stage bathed in lights. Students and employees of the University of Navarra, representing each of the Schools, took center stage at the University of Navarra Museum, which was celebrating the Noche en blanco. And Jaime García del Barrio, director of the Museum, announced, "The winner of the first award is Hannah Labotka."

The line of finalists was waved and cheers and applause were heard. Hannah, a student at International Office and representative of School Law, stepped forward. Her first words were of thanks to her classmates, after "a very intense but fun month," and to her parents. That same day coincided with her mother's birthday.

What did it mean to you to win the Voice of your School contest, where such good voices competed?

It is a great honor to have sung with all these wonderful voices. The truth is that we are a group where we all get along very well, and through this experience I have learned to listen and work as a team for many hours. For me, the experience with my colleagues, in fact friends, has been worth more than the final result of the competition.

How did you experience the concert at the Noche en blanco at the Museo Universidad de Navarra?

At first I was nervous, but thanks to the rehearsals, the preparation and everyone's dedication, I managed to get rid of my nerves and feel very comfortable for the first time on a stage where so many people were listening to us.

How would you describe the feeling of getting on stage and singing for so many people?

Before the contest, I was afraid to face such a large audience. But with Javier's financial aid and the whole team of Jana Producciones, I have learned to sing and act without fear. And not only, but also to enjoy the show. This, to enjoy on stage, is very important, because the public perceives when you are nervous or uncomfortable. When I feel the audience's support, I sing better, and it encourages me to keep giving my all on stage.

How important is music in your daily life?

Music is very important to me. Ever since I was little, I have been able to enjoy it with my family. My father loves classical music, bluegrass and classic rock. And my mother has a beautiful voice. I remember on the way to high school we would sing Whitney Houston or Celine Dion songs. Thanks to my parents' tastes, I have had the opportunity to know and enjoy all subject of music and voices. So now, in my day to day life, it is present on my way back home, in my room, and sometimes, even when I study. I don't leave my major high school without my headphones.

Why did you start singing?

I don't know agreement when or why I started singing. I have always liked it very much. Also, since I have never taken singing lessons or conservatory classes, I can say that I have learned to sing by listening to the music and trying to sing like the great singers. I have to thank my mother for inspiring me to do better and better. Singing makes me happy, gives me peace and makes me feel in control of my voice.

What genre of music do you prefer?

I like to listen to all genres: pop, classic rock.... Although the best music is the one that inspires great feelings, that cheers you up, or that makes you cry. The one that when there are no words, there is; and that is the best gift.
