Felix Mª Arocena enters the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain

The professor of the University of Navarra has been appointed corresponding academic of the Theology section.

Professor Félix María Arocena has joined the Royal Academy of Doctors of Spain as a corresponding member of the Section of Theology. submission The inauguration ceremony was held on November 20 in Madrid, at the end of which he was presented with the medal and diploma accrediting his academic status.

Dr. Blanca Castilla, academic of issue and administrative assistant of the Section of Theology, was in charge of introducing Professor Arocena on behalf of the Royal Academy. The University of Navarra was represented by the Alumni Vice President , Tomás Gómez-Acebo, and by the professor of the TheologySchool , Isabel María León.

During the session, the professor of the School of Theology pronounced a speech on 'The constitution of the Hispanic rite and the contribution of its texts to the Theology of the Liturgy', whose purpose was to look at what could have been the germ, development and consolidation of the ancient Hispanic Rite. For this, he referred to the eminent Spanish liturgists, "our predecessors, who dedicated long years of their lives to immerse themselves not only in the research of the codices and manuscripts, but also in the complex evolution of the historical vicissitudes in which this liturgy, proper to Spain, was involved".
