"Always/Still. Opera without voices", the musical creation of the composer Alfredo Aracil (award Nacional de Música 2015) and the designer Alberto Corazón (award Nacional de design 1989), promoted and produced by the Museo Universidad de Navarra in partnership with the Centro Nacional de Difusión de la Música (CNDM) arrives at the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía next Monday, January 16 performed by Juan Carlos Garvayo (award Nacional de Música 2013).

The show premiered in October 2015 at the Museum, to great public and critical acclaim. Following the success of the absolute premiere, this in-house production has toured during 2016 in various centers and artistic programs such as the Xornadas de Música Contemporánea de Santiago de Compostela, the Festival Terras sem Sombra de Sines (Portugal), the Teatro Central de Sevilla and the Festival Internacional de Música y Danza de Granada.

"Always/Still. Opera without voices" responds to the Philosophy of bringing together all the artistic disciplines present in the Museo Universidad de Navarra; in this case, the collection of painting and photography with contemporary musical creation. It is an innovative production, which provokes an abstract dialogue between the designs and texts that Alberto Corazón made on a trip to Damascus with the music composed for solo piano by Alfredo Aracil and performed by Juan Carlos Garvayo. The work offers a report of the Syrian cultural richness, unfortunately already lost due to the war that ravages the country.
