At the age of 23, Patricia Pomés Jiménez wanted to get a first-hand look at the job market at the same time she was doing her project Fin de degree program at School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. She thought that a foreign country might offer opportunities more in line with her expectations and, given her restless nature, she didn't think twice: she sent her curriculum to several programs of study in Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Her profile convinced the OOS studio in Zurich, and what started as a professional 'adventure' abroad has now, three years later, become a promising degree program.

She says she is fully satisfied with her choice: "We are a very young, yet very experienced team of about twenty people with a strong international character and multidisciplinary. In addition, the architecture and excellence of the Alpine country are indisputable references on which to define new horizons."

On the subject of staff, she admits that she misses her family and recognizes that her parents' support is fundamental. "They have always placed special emphasis on the importance of knowing how to adapt to different situations and react to difficulties. That's why they have encouraged us to get to know the world, both my sisters and me."

"An adaptation phase is necessary to be able to understand how a new city, a different society, works. If this process is approached as a learning opportunity, the difficulties are minimized in all aspects," she says.

In her future plans she does not rule out returning to Spain: "I would love to go back home sooner or later, but in no case would I do it without first finding an offer that can compete with the conditions I have here. It has to mean a challenge in my development, both at staff and professional level".
