Four graduates of the School of Medicine of the University of Navarra have obtained a place among the first 100 places in the examination for Internal Medical Resident (spanish medical residency program) called by the Ministry of Health. Three of them are from Navarra. Specifically, Uxue Izpura Bueno, a native of Pamplona, has obtained fourth place, and Julia Nieto Elizalde, from Elizondo and resident in Cizur Menor, issue 29. They are followed on the list by Ana Aldaz Burgoa, a native of Getxo (Vizcaya) and resident of Mutilva, with 93rd place, and María López de San Román Luque, from Pamplona and resident of Zizur Mayor, with 96th place.

93% of the graduates of School of Medicine who sit for the exam obtain one of the 7,989 places offered by the Ministry.

Uxue Izpura confesses that, during the six years of Medicine, one of the most important issues has been to show a great curiosity to deepen in those concepts or areas that most caught her attention: "I decided not to study only to get the degree program. And I think that this preparation has given me a very good basis to do well in spanish medical residency program".

At the same time, he indicates that, after finishing the Degree, he began the more immediate preparation of the spanish medical residency program with great enthusiasm: "It was a totally new experience. I went to Oviedo and that change of scenery, together with having a very clear goal , helped me to face the study with a lot of motivation. It should be noted that this year we were particularly tired, since, due to the delay in the date of the test, we studied two months longer and that was noticeable".

Regarding his immediate future, he has not yet resolved his doubts: "I like medical specialties, such as pediatrics, internal medicine or nephrology. As for the place, I hesitate between Pamplona or cities like Bilbao, where I have heard very good things about the hospitals in that city".

The Navarra native recognizes how, throughout the degree program, there have been numerous professors who have left their mark on her and "have transmitted to her the desire to learn". She points out with particular affection the professor manager of the subject of Oncology: "Dr. Leire Arbea has been a reference letter for me".
