Luis Erneta Altarriba from Pamplona, researcher of the department of Geography and Spatial Planning of the University of Navarra, made a research stay at the headquarters of committee of Europe in Strasbourg, France. Specifically, he was located in the Division of Cultural Heritage, Landscape and Spatial Planning of the Directorate of Cultural and Natural Heritage.

The purpose of the work of research developed in this organization was to analyze the current tools of management of the landscape within the framework developed by the agreement European Landscape , a document developed within this institution a decade ago. This international rules and regulations was ratified by Spain on November 26, 2007 and promotes an integrated vision of heritage in its social, cultural and environmental dimensions, which means a more sustainable management of Spatial Planning in Europe.

Luis Erneta's stay at committee de Europa is related to the thesis doctoral thesis he is currently working on at the University of Navarra, under the direction of Professor Juan José Pons, which analyzes the recent transformations of the landscape in the Pamplona Basin.
