23 students from School of Architecture give 5 presentations and 3 creative videos at Forun 2012

23 students from School of Architecture of the University of Navarra participated in Forun 2012. Organized in groups, 18 of them elaborated 5 papers or collaborated in them, and another 5 in 3 creative videos.

Specifically, students Luis Delgado, Ignacio Calonge, Mikel Díaz, Alvaro Martínez and Javier Soto were responsible for 'Architecture and beauty: towards a more human world'; Adriana Maraver, Teresa Arroyo and Joseba Astelarra, for 'Beauty and industrial architecture. El cambio de mirada con el cambio de siglo'; Enrique Gralla participated along with students from other University centers in 'El valor existencial de la belleza en el Banquete de Platón'; Miren Juaristi, Lide Plazaola, Cristina Pereda and Xavier Ruivo prepared 'La arquitectura comprensible'; and Álvaro Velasco, Guillermo Escolano, Martín Urrutia, Pau Cassany and Camilo Domínguez, 'La inmediatez en la belleza'.

As for the creative videos, Íñigo Arrieta produced 'The details are in the beauty'; Iñaki Paniagua, Jorge Alastuey and Itziar Zarraga, 'The Cathedral of Pamplona, eternal beauty'; and Álvaro García, 'A life, a work of art'.

A total of 326 students and 54 professors participated in Forun 2012, under the degree scroll "Pulchrum: the power of beauty". Interdisciplinary in nature, the congress brought together reflections on the transcendence of the concept of beauty, from different fields of knowledge such as science, communication, Economics, law or architecture.
Javier Navarro, professor of History at the University of Navarra and director of the committee organizer of congress, highlighted the participation of the students. "The issue number of attendees at the preparatory conferences was B, reaching 600 at the conference given by the painter Antonio López. The quality of the works is also remarkable and the jury's decision was very difficult," he concluded.
