Designer Miriam Ocariz teaches a course on design Fashion at the University of Madrid.

The designer Miriam Ocariz will give a course on "Fundamentals of Fashion design " at the University of Navarra. School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. For seven days, from Wednesday, May 31 to Thursday, June 8, 2017, at schedule from 10:00h to 14:00h and from 15:00h to 17:00h, participants will learn about Introduction to the world of fashion: designers, classic and contemporary; Collection (moodbook); Pattern making and tailoring; Fabrics and Figurines. Places are limited and registrations can be made through the academic center's website until Friday, May 19.

In addition, the School of Architecture has organized two other summer courses, on "Introduction to Rhinoceros 5.0", from June 9 to 14, and "Grasshopper for Rhinoceros 5.0", from June 15 to 22, both taught by Javier Zaratiegui, Miguel Acebrón and Luis Gutiérrez. The first will offer an introduction to Rhinoceros, with emphasis on the 3D modeling process and will deal with the basic techniques of drawing, tracing and elaboration in 2D and its application to create 3D shapes and coatings. The second will focus on aspects of list and tree management from data as well as paneling and fabrication of complex surfaces, solar computation and manipulation of data GIS.

Miriam Ocariz has a degree in Fine Arts and a degree in Fashion design , its main hallmark is the printing on the fabrics, paying special attention to the care for the quality of the fabrics and the construction of the garments.

Its beginnings were oriented towards the printing of T-shirts by means of silk-screen printing of its own drawings, receiving a very good reception in the market and placing it in prestigious international points of sale.

Awarded the award L'Oreal Paris in 2002 for the best collection of young designers at the Pasarela Cibeles in Madrid. Between 2004 and 2006 she was creative director of the women's ready-to-wear line of signature ARMAND BASI.

Currently, Miriam Ocariz's collections can be found in multi-brand stores in an important issue of countries, highlighting the agreement reached in 2009 with group HP FRANCE in Tokyo for the distribution of its collections in Japan.
