Dance Week at the Museum

The second edition of the "Coda in movement" cycle was attended by Virgilio Sieni and the Kor'Sia dancers.

The director of the dance section of the Venice Biennale, Virgilio Sieni, gave the lecture "All human beings carry a dancer inside and we dance" moderated by Roger Salas, curator of the cycle and critic of El País. Fragments of the choreographer's project at the Venice Biennale "The Gospel according to St. Matthew" will also be screened.

On Saturday, February 20, there was a contemporary dance performance and subsequent colloquium by group Kor'sia. The quartet of dancers premiered the choreography Cul de sac, winner of the First award residency program of Creation of the XXI Concours Chorégraphique Jeunes Compagnies Les Synodales de Sens (France), which takes as its starting point various scenarios inspired by the sculptures of Juan Muñoz.

Members:

Mattia Russo (choreographer / dancer): In 2008 he graduated in dance at the school of Teatro alla Scala in Milan, directed by Frederic Olivieri and since then he has been part of the Ballet of the Generalitat Valenciana, Introdans and in 2012 he joined the National Dance Company under the artistic direction of José Carlos Martínez.

Diego Tortelli (choreographer / dancer): He has studied at the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome and at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan. He has been part of several companies such as Balletto dell Esperia, Luna Negra in Chicago or Le Ballet National de Marseille. Currently, she works for the Bavarian State Ballet in Munich and as an assistant for The Bakery.

Antonio de Rosa (choreographer / dancer): He began his ballet programs of study at the Accademia Nazionale di Roma. He has worked at the Scuola di Ballo Teatro alla Scala, Maggio Fiorentino (Florence) and at the Arena di Verona. In 2009 he joined the Teatro alla Scala in Milan, where he remained until 2011 when he joined the National Dance Company under the direction of José Carlos Martínez.

Giuseppe Dagostino (playwright): graduate by the Academia Alla Scala in Milan. He was hired by the National Dance Company, working under the direction of Nacho Duato and José Carlos Martínez. In recent years he has worked with international choreographers such as Angelin Preljocaj, Jiri Kylian, Matz Ek, Johan Inger and William Forsythe.


DANCE WORKSHOP WITH JOSÉ CARLOS MARTÍNEZ

The director of the Compañía Nacional de Danza, José Carlos Martínez, gave a specialized workshop on specialized workshop in dance with 24 places that were sold out in just one week. The general public will also be able to participate in this activity as occasional student.
