The second edition of Musicae Artis, workshop dedicated to sacred music due to its proximity to Holy Week, brought the musical tradition of the aurorae of Navarra to the public with a concert. In total, 120 auroros from Pamplona, Peralta and Olite performed a demonstration that passed through the Campus of the University of Navarra through three different routes and ended with a performance in the Museum.

This edition of Musicae Artis was curated by Jesús Tanco, a former professional at the University of Navarra and a great fan of auroras. The tradition of this musical group, which gathers to sing and signal religious festivities in towns and cities, dates back to the 16th and 17th centuries, but is still very much alive in regions such as Navarra and Murcia, among others.

The 120 auroros went in three different groups through the Campus of the University, passing through the colleges and some buildings until they arrived at the Museum. There, they sang through the exhibition halls and then gathered in the Museum Theater. Musicae Artis also celebrated the 50th anniversary of the installation and blessing by Pope Paul VI of the Virgin of Fair Love at Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love of Campus with the premiere of an aurora dedicated to her. "We want to bring this musical, popular and religious phenomenon closer to the city. It has the attraction that the public will be able to see live a custom that has taken root and is a tradition, it is in the genes of our society," explains Jesús Tanco. The most academic part took place this morning with the roundtable and colloquium "Auroras: tradition and art", where the evolution of the lyrics and the current state of the auroras was analyzed .
