Choreographer Javier Martín improvised a dance solo on the esplanade of the School de Comunicación in front of a hundred students.

Javier Martín surprised students at the University of Navarra by improvising a dance solo with musical accompaniment during a break between classes. This is not the first time that the Galician artist has burst into a university environment: he has also performed at the Sorbonne in Paris this year. "It's a very positive initiative to confront young audiences with the language of contemporary art and movement," said Javier Martín. Santiago, student of 3rd year of Audiovisual Communication, has been one of the first surprised. "We had heard about their performances, but we had never seen them live and even less in the esplanade of your School. I found it interesting and different. When you see it live, you experience it in a different way," confessed Santiago. "My work is an appeal to a viewer subject with a critical spirit. You have to rely on the intelligence of the audience to reflect on what is in front of them," added the choreographer.

The artist, who premiered 'Control. How to build a body without organs' last season, will inaugurate the new fall season on Friday, September 18, at 7 p.m., with the dance solo 'Oximórica'. It will repeat its performance on Saturday 19, at 13h. Tickets cost 4.5€ and can be purchased at the Museum's locker or on the website museo.unav.edu
