The University of Navarra has closed the exhibition "Movement, color and rhythm" made by the Atena Foundation in the School of Communication. The sample, open since Tuesday, May 6, has collected 16 works worked during a workshop of paintings that the Foundation carries out each year for people with disabilities, inspired by relevant authors and known pictorial currents.

On this occasion the compositions were carried out in painted paper on cardboard and were inspired by the abstract cubism of the Delaunay couple. In this project 90 people have participated, so that each work has been made by several people.

Estíbaliz Zubieta, art director and occupational therapist at the Atena Foundation, explains that this sample is a added value to work of the students because their paintings are recognized outside the environment in which they have worked: "It gives them an identity as artists. Every work seeks a projection to the outside, a public that values its work. This exhibition means that the works have an audience to make them feel".

This project comes to reinforce the alliance of partnership existing for more than ten years between the University of Navarra and the Atena Foundation. Sofía Collantes, coordinator of Tantaka, the Time Bank of Solidarity of the academic center, is sample very grateful to the Foundation. And she assures: "By doing volunteer activities with them throughout the year, we learn a lot from their professionalism and vocation towards people with disabilities".
