This is a three-way season premiere: dance on stage, exhibition in theaters and lectures at classroom, with Pablo Picasso and his relationship with the performing arts as its leitmotif. The Museum's three artistic programming areas (curatorial, performing arts and public programs) have designed this activity jointly, joining forces to offer a unique experience of what is undoubtedly one of the most complex and important creations of contemporary Spanish art.

The theater's season will open on September 23 with the premiere of "El sombrero de tres picos" by the Ballet Nacional de España with costumes and scenery by the artist from Malaga, music by Manuel de Falla and choreography by the great Antonio Ruiz Soler, which has been recovered for the public on the 20th anniversary of his death. The ballet will also perform other emblematic pieces such as "Viva Navarra", with music by the Navarrese Joaquín Larregla, "Farruca" and "Ritmos".

Along with this event, exceptional in itself, will be inaugurated a exhibition in conference room of the 32 figurines that Picasso designed for the characters of the ballet, characterized in the traditional style of different villages of Spain, but reinvented plastically by Picasso. These are unique series. The activity will close with a seminar on the Malaga painter and the arts in movement, which will take place, also at the Museum, at the beginning of October.

MORE DANCE

The Museum, in its next season, will consolidate the presence of dance in all its disciplines, from classical to contemporary. On this occasion the gaze is extended to urban dance with the presence on October 8 of "Avalanche" by Dani Pannullo Dancetheatre Co. The Argentine choreographer based in Madrid presents a free-style football show. A brand new dance modality that is situated between control, the internship of sport and a certain virtuosity that become poetry on stage in a continuous search for new dance languages and new audiences.

STRENGTHENING THE THEATER

The second edition of the theater series "Classics at the Museum", curated by Liuba Cid (theater director, playwright, researcher and professor of performing arts), will be held from November 12 to 25 and will include great authors such as Cervantes, Shakespeare, Molière and Fernando de Rojas. The series combines lectures, large-format theater, dramatized readings and dramatized wine tastings.

Rafael Álvarez "El Brujo" will perform on November 13 "Mysteries of Don Quixote" based on texts from the same work by Miguel de Cervantes, on the fourth centenary of his death. On November 19, Morboria Teatro will stage "El burgués gentilhombre, by the universally famous Molière". The theater offer of the theater closes with a proposal for children and family audiences, "El sastrecillo valiente" on November 24 to be offered by the company Títeres Etcétera (award National Theater for Children and Youth 2014).

In a small tribute to the genius of Stratford in the fourth centenary of his death, we will be able to attend in the halls of the museum to the dramatized reading in Basque of the most representative scenes of "Hamlet", Shakespeare's great tragedy. Also in the halls of the museum, Carolina Calema will offer us the monologue "La Celestina" by Fernando de Rojas in a version by Darío Galo, a production of CTC Producciones.

Finally, the dramatized wine tastings "Wine and the characters of Don Quixote" will be a double quotation with some of the best known characters of the novel and the wineries of Pamplona, with the participation of the GRISO (the group of research of the Golden Age of the University of Navarra).
