The Higher Technical School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and ILUNION Hotels, the hotel chain characterized by its inclusive model and for being 100% accessible to any disability subject , have just signed a agreement of partnership. 

The purpose of this alliance is to establish and articulate a general framework of partnership between the parties, in order to develop projects and actions linked to a common purpose and generate a positive social impact on the planet and people.

José Ángel Preciados, CEO of ILUNION Hotels understands that "the partnership university-business and, specifically, this alliance with the School of Architecture of the UNAV, means creating an ecosystem of mutual learning and partnership in order to address the current commitments and challenges that companies face".

Carlos Naya, director of the School, agrees, stating that what the center contributes to this ecosystem is "creativity, work in teams, transversality, a generalist vision of problems and problem solving from the point of view of the experience of Username, with the aim of solving the needs of companies and improving people's lives". "Our students, in addition, thanks to this partnership, get a real image of a business like ILUNION Hotels and learn more about something as important as inclusion," adds Carlos Naya.

The agreement, which aims to have a continuity in time, has materialized, already in 2022, with a first project of circularity, developed by the students of Degree in design of the School. This project provides recycling solutions to hotels and aims to be, in turn, a point to raise awareness and explain to customers and other stakeholders the importance of recycling and circularity, to which ILUNION Hotels attaches so much importance. In 2023, the project to be launched will revolve around the inclusive design .

In addition, the students of design had the opportunity to get to know, first hand, one of the establishments of the hotel company, ILUNION Atrium, where they were able to taste one of its "blind breakfasts", experiencing, first hand, the sensations and situations that blind people face every day.  

In final, business and university seek, with this agreement, promote initiatives aimed at promote sustainability, understanding this as an integral concept and as the result of incorporating social and environmental concerns into the business strategy and management . 

This alliance is part of the 2025 Strategy of the University of Navarra, which aims to contribute to sustainable social development , starting from the care of people and the environment, and through the interdisciplinary and applied research , the training of the youngest and the transfer of knowledge to society.
