The University of Navarra hosted the presentation of the II Biennial of Latin American Architecture which, following the line of the first meeting, held in May 2009, will showcase the contemporary panorama of Latin American architecture from April 5 to 8.

The initiative is promoted by the group of research AS20 of the School of Architecture together with the City Council of Pamplona, the Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona and the Navarre delegation of the high school of Basque-Navarrese Architects. Its goal is to turn the city of Pamplona into a cultural reference letter and a point of contact and approximation of Spain with Latin American architecture.

At the presentation, Pamplona City Councilor Juan Luis Sánchez de Muniáin highlighted the importance of "turning the city into a point of exchange of culture and architectural experiences". For his part, Juan Miguel Otxotorena, professor at School of Architecture and director of the Biennial's board of trustees , explained that "the students see a very close reference in these young architects who express their work with brilliance".

Also participating in the event were Javier Torrens, president of the Mancomunidad de la Comarca de Pamplona; Alfonso Alzugaray, from the high school of Basque-Navarre Architects; and Mariano González Presencio, director of the School of Architecture.
