Eight new specialists in Industrial and Galenical Pharmacy
The School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra has celebrated the VIII Promotion of the specialization program in an event with professionals and companies of the sector.
The students of the specialization in Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy (EFIG) of the University of Navarra attended the closing ceremony of the VIII Promotion of the Program, which was also attended by the professors in charge.
The presiding table was formed by the dean of the School of Pharmacy, Adela López de Cerain; Pilar García, president of the high school Official Pharmacists of Navarra; Vicente Hernández, director technician of Eli Lilly; and Jesús Mª Hernández, Deputy Director general of the research center Applied Medicine (CIMA) of the University of Navarra.
In their presentations, the guests highlighted the importance and necessity of this specialization program, which has been supported by pharmaceutical laboratories, inspectors of the Ministry of Health, health authorities of the Autonomous Communities, Official Associations of Pharmacists and the highest representatives of the pharmaceutical profession in Spain.
According to the event, pharmaceutical laboratories demand highly qualified professionals to compete in an innovative sector characterized by the complexity of the research of medicines. Through this specialization students get the profile requested by the sector, which allows most of them to work in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, the Spanish Medicines Agency also requires specialists with their training. This high demand explains why the employment rate of our graduates is currently 100%.
