More than 300 students from ESO and high school diplomastudents in the University's Excellence program
conference aims to train students in university and professional skills.
More than 300 students and 50 teachers from 20 schools from all over Spain attended the conference Excellence Program at the University of Navarra. This initiative aims to goal the training for students in 4th ESO and high school diploma in both university and professional skills. In its VII edition, the participants have worked on the topic "The new identity builders".
For this purpose, they have counted on conferences by experts from the academic center, such as Rosario Sádaba, from School de Comunicación, who spoke about the dangers, challenges and opportunities of reputation in social networks. Likewise, Nelson Mandela, Frida Kahlo, Ghandi and Coco Channel, among other characters, competed in teams during the discussion tournament organized by the Dikaios Club, from School Law.
The Excellence Program arises from the partnership between several schools and the University of Navarra, as well as from their common interest in improving students' cultural training and their ability to contribute to society. Ignacio Gil, director executive of project, assures that "every year Excellence students exceed expectations . They are clearly kids from high school diploma with an already university attitude".
At the beginning of March, students will defend the works of research that they carry out during the course. The School of Philosophy and Letters is in charge of their academic direction at the University.
