The School of Theology of the University of Navarra celebrated on Saturday, May 25, the act of end of degree program of 72 of its students; 40 are part of the LI promotion of licentiate degree in Theology and 32 are part of the LIII promotion of high school program in Theology. During the graduation ceremony, submission presented scholarships, medals and diplomas to the new graduates.

The workshop began at 10 a.m. with the Holy Mass celebrated at the chapel of the School of Communication. Afterwards, the academic ceremony took place in the classroom Magna of the building of the Schools Eclesiasticas. It was presided over by Juan Chapa, Dean of the School; by José María Pardo, director of programs of study; and by Professor Daniel Cenalmor, sponsor of the graduating class.

In their speeches, the students Mª Claudia Arboleda and Erick Arturo Linares, delegates of the licentiate degree and high school program in Theology respectively, showed their gratitude for all they had learned, "for the classes, the friendships and the spiritual and academic moral support received", both from academic staff and from their own classmates, according to Mª Claudia. She also encouraged her classmates to "take the word of God to all the corners of the world and to be faithful servants of the magisterium".

For his part, Erick Arturo emphasized the importance of "living theology and making it live" and had a few words of remembrance for Juan Antonio Gil Tamayo, priest and professor at School, who passed away a few months ago.

The sponsor of the graduating class, Professor Cenalmor, head of the subject of Canon Law at School, focused his message on the importance of this subject for theologians and for life in general. He used some of the words of Pope Benedict XVI to explain to the students that "a society without law is a society without rights".

Finally, the Dean of the School, Juan Chapa, closed the graduation ceremony. He emphasized that with the training received they will be able to face many problems and challenges in life and affirmed that "the graduation ceremony is a call to responsibility and service, two qualities of every formator".

Before concluding the workshop, the students went to the Shrine of Our Lady of Fair Love of St. Mary Mother of Beautiful Love, from campus, where they prayed the Regina Coeli and made a floral offering.
