La Clínica Universidad de Navarra repeats for the seventh time as the Spanish private hospital with the best reputation

The hospital is also the leader in 22 specialties in the ranking of private hospitals, while in the overall ranking of public and private hospitals, it is in the top 10 in 19 specialties.

The Clínica Universidad de Navarra has repeated as the Spanish private hospital with the best reputation for the seventh consecutive year. This was announced this morning by José María San Segundo, the director of the Monitor de Reputación Sanitaria (MRS), who presented the results of this seventh edition at press conference.

In addition, the Clinic leads the ranking among private hospitals in 22 of the 26 medical specialities evaluated among private hospitals. In the overall ranking of all public and private hospitals, 19 medical services were ranked in the top 10. In both cases, these are the Clinic's best records in the seven editions of the MRS. 

director The Clinic's general manager, José Andrés Gómez Cantero, said he was especially grateful for this recognition "in a year marked by a global pandemic. When in November 2019 we received our sixth MRS, nothing could have suggested the status that we have experienced in the last 15 months, in which we have shown that more than ever, the healthcare system is one, that sharing good practices benefits us all and that, when we work together, the patient benefits".

MRS has carried out more than 6,777 surveys of healthcare professionals (doctors, managers, nurses, managers, etc.). In addition, 2,853 specific objective indicators of 2,704 clinical services have been evaluated.

The MRS, in turn, analyses the best hospitals in a total of 26 medical specialities. According to this ranking, the Clinic ranked first among private hospitals in 22 specialities:

The Monitor de Reputación Sanitaria (MRS) is, according to the organisation, the only independent study that analyses the reputation of the entire Spanish healthcare system and through which the actors in the healthcare system have been evaluated on the basis of three assessments: the first, evaluation by medical professionals (hospital specialists and family and community medicine doctors); the second, evaluation by nurses, hospital managers and directors, nurse managers, pharmaceutical company directors, hospital pharmacy managers, patient associations, journalists and health reporters on the basis of 16 reputation variables for clinical services; all these assessments are complemented by the third analysis of more than 2,853 specific objective indicators of 2,853 different types of reputation.853 specific objective indicators for 2,704 clinical services.

In total, 10 assessments and 6,777 professional surveys were conducted in 2020. The study was carried out by Análisis e research, the first Spanish high school of research de mercados, and the methodology and results have been subject to an independent review by KMPG of agreement with the rule ISAE 3000.
