Civivox Iturrama hosts a sample of projects carried out by the students of Degree at design of the University.

The exhibition, which opens on May 29th at 7pm, can be visited until June 30th.

On Monday, May 29th at 7 p.m., the Civivox Iturrama will host the opening of exhibition "IN CONSTRUCTION. Technical and cultural foundations of design", that gathers a selection of the formal proposals generated by the students of the first year of Degree in design of the School of Architecture of the University of Navarra. The sample can be visited until June 30.

The event will be attended by the Director of Programming of the network Civivox, the manager of Exhibitions of the network Civivox as well as Miren Balda, manager of the Civivox Iturrama Center, the Director of the School of Architecture, Miguel A. Alonso del Val and the coordinator of the Degree in design, Carlos Chocarro, who will address a few words to the attendees and tour the exhibition briefly explaining each of the projects.

"Throughout the course they have been working on different projects transversal to all subjects with the clear vocation of building a pathway staff in the field of creation. "IN CONSTRUCTION. Technical and cultural foundations of design", is a vision of the challenges facing a world in which image and functionality are increasingly important.

From typography, to camouflage, through scale, play or recycling, in these works we can appreciate new strategies to build today's world," says Carlos Chocarro.

First year of Degree at design

The Degree at design began to be taught at the University of Navarra this academic year 2016-17. Students have carried out eight "umbrella projects" during this course , each of them at partnership with a professional specialized in the subject corresponding to project: "Typography" (1st) with graphic designer and typographer Octavio Pardo; "Colour" (2nd) with painter Alejandro Häsler; "Scale" (3rd) with architect Manolis Stavrakakis; "Patterns" (4th), with fashion designer Miriam Ocáriz; "Material" (5th) with Italian architect Fabrizio Pierandrei; "Seriation" (6th) with Tim Karoleff; "Packaging" (7th) with Italian designer Marta Bernstein and "Recycling" (8th) with industrial designer Francesco Faccin, from Italy.
