''I've been enjoying what research is all about for three years ''
Beatriz García Ruiz works at Laboratorios Cinfa after completing the specialization program in Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy at the University of Navarra.
- Why did you choose this specialization program?
I chose specialization program in Industrial and Galenic Pharmacy, because since I decided to study Pharmacy, it was very clear to me that I wanted to be part of this great process: the patient's health. When you are sick, or have someone around you who is sick, the first thing you think of is that you would love to have the right medicine for your illness. And working both in industry and at research, you can be an active part of that 'perfect' drug.
- What do you think of your choice after completing the specialization program?
I think it was a good decision to choose this specialization program, as it has fulfilled all my expectations of what I thought was a pharmaceutical industry. It sample the industry as it really is; from the entrance of the raw subject until you get the desired pharmaceutical form. In addition, the training both academically and internship does not differ much from the reality of work.
- Why did you choose to study in Pamplona?
Before choosing place I visited other Schools where it was taught and the academic program offered by the University of Navarra was the one that convinced me the most. The University of Navarra has an enormous prestige that makes it have within its academic program, several famous people from the world of industry, which provides not only theoretical knowledge, but also to discover the development of the same in "the real world".
- What do you think of the training acquired during your time as a resident at the University?
I consider the training obtained as excellent. One year is not enough time to explain the whole Pharmaceutical Industry, but the specialization program gives you the ability to 'Learn to think like a Pharmaceutical Industry'.
- What is your current professional status ?
work Currently as Technician of the Galenic development Unit at department of research and development of CINFA Laboratories. The University gave me the opportunity to join CINFA through a scholarship and I have been enjoying research for almost three years now.
