Antonio Jesús Jiménez Quesada wins the 6th FYM-HeidelbergCement Group and University Project Contest

The competition awards the best project in concrete for a multipurpose space in the place of Urroz-Villa.

Antonio Jesús Jiménez Quesada, from the University of Granada, has won the first award of the FYM-HeidelbergCement Group and the University of Navarra's Project Competition. School of Architecture University of Navarra, which consists of a scholarship to study the Master's Degree in design Architectural taught at campus Pamplona. The young architect's project , graduate "Dolmen", was distinguished for its quality, innovation, originality and creativity in the use of concrete as an important component of its design.

The Spanish architect has won the first prize award thanks to his proposal of a multipurpose space at place del Ferial in Urroz-Villa (Navarra) in which he designed a central covered space supported at its ends that simulates a dolmen that opens onto the church of La Asunción. The winner used i.active EFFIX ARCA and i.active BIODYNAMIC concrete, from the signature FYM-HeidelbergCement Group, as the basic material for his project .

This is the sixth edition of the competition, which on previous occasions has been won by architects from the SEK University of Ecuador, the Polytechnic University of Valencia, the European University of Madrid, the Catholic University of Chile and the University of Granada.

The exercises presented will be exhibited at the fairs of San Martín de Urroz-Villa, next November, at partnership with the City Council of Urroz-Villa and Cederna.
