The School of Philosophy and Letters has welcomed the 165 new students who this year begin their programs of study. The workshop, held at the classroom Magna of Central Building, was marked by the smiles that could be seen behind the masks, the nerves of those who begin a new stage, and the excitement of meeting those who will be classmates, friends and teachers over the coming years.

The ceremony was presided over by the dean, Julia Pavón, who encouraged them not to lose their enthusiasm for learning: "In a world with many questions, you will be able to provide many answers from the knowledge of truth. This will be one of the great challenges you will face during these years: to know and learn, in the search for truth". For his part, Javier Andreu, Associate Dean of Alumni, research and postgraduate program, gave them a series of tips to make their stay at the University of Navarra a profitable one: "Study, curiosity for a global and humanistic knowledge, readings and friendships". "If you manage to have a concern for the problems of others and a generous spirit to face them and try to solve them, you will have become true university students, capable of transforming the society in which you live," he said. Cristhian Mestre, director of development of the School, also gave them some keys for their development staff and professional during these years.

Under the degree scroll "La literatura desde siempre: por qué seguiremos viajando después de la pandemia", Professor Javier de Navascués gave a brief talk in which he stated that "the heritage of the Humanities is in reflecting on the individual that has manifested itself through all the stories told throughout history". The workshop ended with the intervention of Julia Urabayen, coordinator of the Degree at Philosophy, who spoke on behalf of the coordinators to explain to the students the importance of this academic figure and to point out some practical aspects of the beginning of the course.
