More than 300 participants ranging from undergraduate students to members of the University's high school diploma to members of the University's Senior Program have delved into failure as an opportunity for success in seven lectures and four workshops over the course of two full conference . The congress, organized solely by third-year Economics, Leadership and Governance (ELG) students, is part of the subject project Integrated.

In the part of Economics, Javier Vallés, former head of the Economic Office of the Government of Spain; Santiago Fernández de Lis, head of Financial Systems at BBVA Research; and Álvaro Lodares, economist and author of six books, the latest of which is "De la nueva política", addressed in the roundtable: "El fracaso de los modelos económicos "the management of the economic crisis, the most frequent obstacles in the labor field and the possibility of building an alternative economic order under strong leadership figures at the institutional level. Fernández de Lis explained how economic crises do not always imply a failure for Economics. For his part, Lodares encouraged an optimistic view of the economic future "it is important to remember: the world is doing better today, let's leave pessimism behind". Vallés said that the current crisis, the recovery of which is "about to take place at fill in", will help us to face future failures with strength. Under the same theme, Alberto Andreu, consultant and expert in CSR, Sustainability, Brand and Corporate Culture, spoke at the lecture "Failure at work" about his own failures and life lessons, about which he gave some advice such as respecting one's own principles or developing empathy.

In terms of society, Raúl Santiago, expert in educational systems and professor of Didactics and School Organization at the UNIR, gave the lecture "The failure of model educational " in which he exposed failures of illustrious people like Newton or Edison, the Finnish model educational and some practices for efficient schools, such as designing a flexible curriculum or maintaining close communication with the families of students. For his part, the illustrator and set designer, Jaime Buhigashed on concepts such as chaos, destruction, art and beauty in the workshop "Mythology of failure or the art of disappointment". Alfredo Cruz, professor and doctor of the University of Navarra, warned about the "romantic self" in which the virtual world immerses us at lecture "The failure of personal relationships" and encouraged us to "satellite ourselves" and define who and how we are in order to learn to establish stable personal relationships. Likewise, Eduardo Jiménez, General Manager of the Varazdin Foundation, highlighted the importance of fighting against social exclusion in the discussion paper "Failure in the crisis": "companies are becoming aware of the responsibility they have with the environment", he explained, "the core topic to help is for society to be aware of the need".

In the field of happiness, Carlos Centeno, director of the Palliative Medicine Unit of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, shared in the lecture "La management de la felicidad en situaciones terminales" how he faced his last 'failure': the death of one of his patients, ill with lung cancer. "My way of managing status is that I learn alone, but that everyone else learns with me". Philosopher Ricardo Piñero and professor Belén Torregrosa contributed their own reflections on vitality and personal priorities in "Life goes on, don't miss it" and "The flowers of time: in search of a successful life". "Sometimes time teaches us that what was once a failure was not really a failure," said Torregrosa, who encouraged us to "give life time" and "use the glue" to turn failures into successes: "Sometimes the worst thing that happens to you is the beginning of something exciting".

Throughout the two conference workshops were also held, in which students from Pamplona schools such as San Cernin or Miravalles-El Redin, students from the University and members of the Senior program shared their views on life, personal problems and the most generic failures in a constructive atmosphere in an intergenerational meeting .

The congress featured testimonials from Jaime Garrastazu, partner founder of Pompeii at lecture "Pompeii: there is no success without failure" and Nicolás Eguibarcon "Getting up after an accident". Garrastazu talked about his experience as the driving force behind the Pompeii sneaker brand. He also encouraged people to lose their fear of failure and to develop entrepreneurship as "a vital attitude". For his part, Eguibar shared his own story of overcoming a motorcycle accident that caused him serious brain injuries. Nico' encouraged the students to take advantage of the present moment and to be grateful for the opportunities that life presents to him: "Life put me in the way so that I could slow down and be able to squeeze every second of joy and happiness".
