Javier Guillén is the secretary of the Federation of European Animal Science Associations of laboratory (FELASA).
The director of the animal facilities of the University of Navarra, Javier Guillén, has been appointed member of the committee of accreditation of the association for the assessment and accreditation of the Animal Care of laboratory (AAALAC International). This veterinarian, manager of the Animal Experimentation Service of campus Pamplona, is also secretary of the Federation of European Associations for Animal Sciences of laboratory (FELASA).
AAALAC International is the only institution in the world dedicated to accrediting laboratories with respect to their animal care programs. It is of North American origin and, in recent years, has been expanding its activity throughout the world. The committee of accreditation is composed of 28 North Americans and 2 Europeans.
