Next September, the University of Navarra will launch the training course graduate program in Equality. The program, which will be taught in a 100% online format and will last 4 weeks, will provide those enrolled with the necessary foundations for the development of the equality plan in companies, as well as the development of awareness actions and training in this subject.

"The course is mainly aimed at organizations with a staff of fifty or more people who, according to Royal Decree-Law 6/2019 of March 1, must draw up and implement an equality plan," explains María Cruz Díaz de Terán, professor of Theory of Law at the academic center and coordinator of the course. "These plans have to have an ordered set of measures. The first diagnostic phase requires, among other things, the training in equality, which will be progressively required by 2022. This will first have to be acquired by the people in charge of drawing up the equality plan for business; then by the organization's managers and middle managers; and finally by all the people on the payroll." The course is also open to those companies that want to obtain the seal of distinction in equality or access to certain public subsidies, since training in this area is one of the requirements that must be met in these cases.

The 4 units of the program -visibilization, awareness and co-responsibility; communication, image and institutional language; prevention of sexual and gender-based harassment; and equality in the social responsibility of business- have been prepared by professionals specialized in subject and by academic staff of the University of Navarra from the fields of Law, Communication, Philosophy, Philology, History and Economic Sciences. Enrolled students will have access to bibliographic and legal resources and multimedia materials in different formats and will have 4 weeks to fill in to study the syllabus. Once the self-evaluations have been passed with a grade of 8 or higher, the course certification will be obtained.
