Students from 9 schools participate in the Local Phase of Navarra 2022-23 of the "Incubator of Probes and Experiments" Contest.

Students of Education Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO), high school diploma and training Professional (FP), from nine centers, have participated in the Local Phase of Navarra 2022-2023 of the Incubator of Probes and Experiments Contest, held on April 28th.

This competition, which is held annually, seeks to awaken in the student body curiosity for statistics as a basic tool for the research. It is organized by the high school of Science of the data and Artificial Intelligence (DATAI) of the University of Navarra and the department of Statistics, Computer Science and Mathematics of the Public University of Navarra (UPNA). 

In the 1st category (1st-2nd ESO) won the award Irati Martínez, Ander Martínez, Ethan Nepote, Raúl Ovelar and Leyre Taniñe, from high school Jesuitinas (Pamplona), for the work 'El aire que respiramos en class'. Their tutor was Itziar Medina. award In the 2nd category (3rd-4th ESO) Edith Ara Amigot, Alanys Montoya, Andrea Morales, Nahia Rodríguez, Paula Antonya Turliuc from IES Zizur BHI, for 'Counting sheep in Zizur Mayor', with Rafael Rivera as tutor. Among the students of high school diploma (3rd Category) the award went to Lorena Bea, Laura Copete, Besma Noui and Javier Escudero, from IES Benjamín de Tudela, for 'Variación económica en cuanto a la zonificación navarra'. Juan Carlos Ballabriga was their tutor.

These winning teams will represent Navarra in the national phase of the competition, which this year will be held in Zaragoza in June.
