ELG students from School of Economics have visited for two weeks the main institutions of governance, development economic, leadership and innovation of the United Arab Emirates on the occasion of the seminar international seminar organized by the School "Innovation, Sustainability & Governance".

The correspondent of the newspaper El País in Dubai, Ángeles Espinosa, placed them in the country's political, social and cultural framework where they met with the main financial institutions and promoters of the Economics as with Government Accelerators; the Dubai Islamic Economy Development Center or Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority.

In addition, the students have deepened their knowledge of the model governance and leadership of the Gulf country in seminars given by the Hawkamah Corporate Governance Center, the Executivecommittee of the Government of Dubai and the MBR School of Goverment.

As part of innovation and sustainability, they were able to learn about the Masdar Institute's renewable energy innovation projects , the alliance between companies, startupsand the government to explore future solutions from Dubai Future Accelerators , the Dubai Government's innovation center.

The commercial attaché Victor Suanzes of the Spanish Embassy shared with the students the experience of Spanish companies in the Emirates through the Economic and Commercial Office of ICEX.

Throughout the seminar, the students have worked on an academicessay and on a Smart City business idea proposal that they will present at the Global Business Case Competition of the Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship of the Singapore Management University in June.
