The Orquesta Sinfónica Universidad de Navarra is looking for new musicians and has called for auditions, aimed at all young people who wish to join the orchestra and who are performing or have finished their musical programs of study . The auditions will take place at the Museo Universidad de Navarra on September 10, starting at 3 pm. Registrations can be made until September 8 through the Museum's website or by writing to alumnosmuseo@unav.es.

This year, as a novelty, the new Artistic Talent program has been promoted, aimed at students of the University of Navarra who want to fill in their training in the Orchestra, the University Choir or theater groups. Thanks to this initiative, students can combine their programs of study with the development of their artistic talents. Those interested in being part of this program must fill out a form through the Museum's website and complete an interview staff.

NEW COURSE, NEW CHALLENGES

In addition to the concert of the first semester, it is planned to promote new links with professional artists and exchanges with other national and international university institutions through music.

The Orchestra was created as a new project with the purpose of offering the students of the University the possibility of training and belonging to a quality symphonic ensemble. Inspired by the orchestras of the most prestigious universities in the United States and Central Europe, goal aims to revalue the role of the arts and music in the university environment and to become a young orchestra of reference letter.

His director, Borja Quintas, is Full Professor of Orchestra Conducting at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Aragón and at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, and director of the Russkaya Opera Theater in Moscow. He has been invited to conduct some of the most important orchestras in the world, such as the London Symphony Orchestra or the New Russia Symphony Orchestra, among others.

This course will be part of academic staff Diego Arbizu, Senior Associate Professor of Violoncello at the Pablo Sarasate Professional Conservatory of Music and Raffaela Acella, director of the Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music of Irun.
