The file Real y General de Navarra will host until October 29, 2023 the exhibition "Tiempo de mujeres. Feminine traces in the history of Navarre". The sample, which traces the history of Navarre from the Age average, through the Modern Age to the contemporary era, through the lives of various women, has been curated by María del Mar Larraza, Ana Zabalza and Raquel García Arancón, professors of the School of Philosophy and Letters of the University.

The inauguration took place on June 2 and was presided over by Rebeca Esnaola, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Government of Navarra. It was also attended by Felix Segura, director of the file Real y General de Navarra. 

The exhibition exhibits 61 documents dated between the 13th and 20th centuries, many of them unpublished and never before exhibited, and consists of three blocks. The first, "Medieval women, between light and shadow", shows the presence of women and their relevance in the religious, economic, cultural and political spheres during the Middle Ages average. Berenguela of Navarre, wife of Richard the Lionheart; Blanca of Artois, queen of Navarre after her marriage to Henry I of Navarre; Inés of Navarre, wife of Gaston de Foix; or the noblewoman Flandina Cruzat are some of the protagonists of this first period in which the sample stops.

The second block, focused on modernity, is entitled degree scroll "The woman, owner of everyday life". With the lives of Francisca and Joaquina de Gages, first women in apply for before the Cortes their naturalization as Navarrese; Isabel de Labayen, owner of a printing press in the only similar case known; or the queens Juana de Albret and Margarita de Angulema, among others, as a common thread, report is made of the role that Navarrese women had during modernity.

Finally, in the third block, "On the Road to Emancipation", the historical milestones that marked Navarre from the 19th century onwards are highlighted through the lives of some of its female protagonists, such as María Ana Sanz Huarte, director of the Escuela Normal de Maestras (Teacher Training College); Juana García Orcoyen, the first Navarrese woman to graduate in Medicine; Julia Álvarez, the first Navarrese woman to run in elections and the first civil governor of Spain; Dolores Baleztena, president of "Las Margaritas"; or Josefina Irujo, leader of "Emakume Abertzale Batza" of Estella.

The exhibition can be visited from Monday to Sunday, including holidays, at schedule from 10:00 to 14:00 and from 17:00 to 20:00. In addition, there will be guided visits every Saturday morning, previous reservation in the telephone 848 42 46 46 67.
