As of October 1, the high school business and Humanism is integrated into the School of Economics.

The goal of this integration is to achieve synergies that will give greater impetus to the activities of teaching and research, focused on the official program of Master's Degree and doctorate in Governance and Organizational Culture.

For its part, the high school will bring to the School its long history of research and relations with companies, oriented towards reflection on the humanistic dimension of Economics and business.

A bit of history

The high school business and Humanism is a pioneering institution in its field. It arose in 1986, when a new economic and social configuration appeared, in response to ideas and Structures that could no longer solve the major problems of the moment.

The high school carries out a broad task of dialogue between the university and the business:

It organizes activities and meetings between entrepreneurs, academics and professionals in different Spanish cities, in partnership with forums and associations, in which it proposes topics and speakers.

It also organizes interdisciplinary research seminars , in which researchers and professionals from multiple areas participate.

Through various publications - a scientific journal, a collection of notebooks, books and a periodical on new trends - the high school disseminates the results of its research and its activities.

In addition, it annually convenes conference and national and international conferences.

The high school business y Humanismo has a board of trustees of business partners, who contribute to the financing of its activities. Companies such as BBVA, Telefónica, El Corte Inglés and Sener, among others, are represented.

The president of board of trustees and high school is Ricardo Martí Fluxá, president of Industria de Turbo Propulsores (ITP) and of the Real board of trustees of the Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía.

The board board of directors of high school business y Humanismo is formed by Jaume Aurell (director), Javier Nanclares, Ángel Arrese and Eduardo Herrera (deputy directors) and Leire Uribeetxebarria (administrative assistant).

This board is joined by administrative assistant management assistant of high school (Claudia Osinaga) and the publications editor (Cristina Bozal).
