Councilor Iribas receives the delegation from the University of Navarra that will participate in WorldMUN 2013

More than 2,000 academics from over 65 countries will meet in Australia to discuss issues of international interest.

model The counselor of Education, José Iribas, has recently received the members of the delegation of the University of Navarra that will participate in the 22nd edition of the United Nations WorldMUN 2013. The lecture will bring together from March 18 to 22 in Melbourne (Australia) more than 2,000 university students from over 65 countries to discuss issues of international interest.

Schools The team is made up of eight students studying at programs of study in the Law, Economics and Communications departments: Desiree Piña, Pedro Lloret, Natalia Salas, Alan Dacanay, Almudena Azcárate, Daniel Calderón, Camila Brodersen and María José Alarcón.

The resolutions adopted at lecture will be sent to the United Nations to showcase the thinking and analysis of youth regarding the problems they face today.

Parallel to this discussion, a competition will be held in which students will be able to apply for to finance a project of financial aid social . The student Natalia Salas, from the University of Navarra, will defend a project that aims to provide one computer per child to rural and very poor schools in Costa Rica in order to guarantee a high level Education to student body of these centers.

WorldMUN is an annual United Nations event that is run by Harvard University and a team of students from the local university in the host city, this year Melbourne. The first edition took place in 1992 in Miedzyzdroje (Poland) and has since been held in 21 cities, including Istanbul (Turkey), Puebla (Mexico), Geneva (Switzerland), Beijing (China) and Sharm El-Sheikh (Egypt).
