IESE in Madrid hosts the II meeting of alumni of Master's Degree of research and development+I
Students and graduates of the postgraduate program course of the School Pharmacy course of the University of Navarra participated.
The alumni and current students of the Master's Degree in research, development and Innovation of Medicines (research and development +I ) of the School of Pharmacy of the University of Navarra had a special quotation last Thursday, October 6, at IESE 's Madrid headquarters (Camino del Cerro del Águila, 3).
The order of activities was as follows:
- 15:00-15:15 h. Welcome coffee.
- 15:15-15:20 h. Speech by Mr. Antonio Monge Director of Master's Degree.
- 15:20-16:30 h. lecture-Discussion with Mr. Javier Ellena. Vice-president of Lilly Europe.

The President for Spain and European Vice-President of LILLY, Mr. Javier Ellena, commented in his speech on the global status of pharmaceutical innovation, insisting on the need for innovative products for the benefit of health. He stressed the importance of degenerative diseases in a social context in which the increase in life expectancy is very important, with the consequent aging of populations.
He raised the need to work on network, in a context such as the current one in which it is not possible to fill in alone all the steps of innovation, from the idea to the market, regardless of the size of the company. On the other hand, it seems opportune and intelligent to collect external initiatives of interest and take them to the product of benefit to health.
Mr. Javier Ellena's international vision was extremely important in transmitting ideas from a professional observatory such as the one he currently has, with direct activities throughout Europe. Finally, it is worth mentioning the information he provided on Eastern Europe and China.
