Flor Volcánica" wins the IV edition of the "Pinchos" Contest
The competition is organized by Cultural Activities Office of the University.
The PhD student of Communication Victorino Gómez-Iglesias was the winner of the IV edition of the contest of pinchos of the University of Navarra, celebrated in the CEICID. His "Flor Volcánica" was awarded in the final of the competition with 150 euros to be consumed in El Gaucho, establishment sponsor. The second award went to Jordi Dionis, a first year student of Economics, who presented his "Cascada Negra", for which he received 100 euros. Julia Duart and Marta Masot, sixth-year students of Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics, won third place and 50 euros for "Sorpresa di Fromaggio". Students Álvaro Martínez, Fátima Pardinas and María Villarreal were also finalists.
The final of the pincho competition, organized by Cultural Activities Office the academic center, had a jury composed of Juan Ardáiz, from the university cafeteria Faustino; Itziar Zazpe, Alicia Bustos and Mª Paz Peña, professors from department of Food Sciences, Physiology and Toxicology from high school of Food Sciences; Fina Ferrando Valverde, cooking teacher from CEICID; and Beatriz Goñi, from Cultural Activities Office.
