Student learning from Master's Degree at academic staff in their future classrooms.

The students of Master's Degree at academic staff visit high school Teresianas and Irabia-Izaga

The students of the Master's Degree at academic staff students from the University of Navarra recently visited two schools in Pamplona as part of the Shadowing activities offered by the program.

The goal of these activities is that students know, first hand, real life examples professor, cases and good practices of the department guidance high school Teresianas and by the management team and academic staff the high school Irabia-Izaga.

Specifically, the students of the specialization program Educational Guidance program at Master's Degree visited high school Teresianas. Its director, Cristina Saiz, welcomed them and explained the history and values promoted by the center educational. Afterwards, Joaquín Sagardoy, delegate of ESO and high school diploma and Francisco Zazpe, coordinator and Tutor of the Unit of curriculum Específico (UCE); both teachers of Master's Degree, explained how is their daily work and the work of accompaniment that delegate carries out to the whole educational community in the center, students, teachers, tutors, families and the management team. In addition, Noelia Ruiz, former student of the University and guidance counselor of the infant stage, shared with the students her experience in the center.

The students also had the opportunity to meet students who are part of the curriculum Specific Unit of high school, and learned about their daily routines and experiences.


On the other hand, the students of the Experimental Sciences, Human and Social Sciences and Languages majors visited the high school Irabia-Izaga. There, Fernando García, Deputy Director of high school, welcomed them and explained the history of the center and his career as a teacher and as a member of the management team. Afterwards, the students visited different classrooms of first, second and third ESO, and were able to observe the Physics class , which was taught in English, as well as the Social Science and English class . This was followed by a discussion on the importance of the climate and the management of classroom, from the Program of the high school diploma International for the development of the Thinking skills, communication, research and social skillsas well as the Attention to Diversity. In addition, the students met Ángel Fuertes, professor at high school, and graduate of Master's Degree, who told them about his experience and transmitted to them a committee: "the most important thing when you are working is that what you teach, you do it with passion".
