The Schools of 'Philosophy and Letters' and 'Education and Psychology' celebrate its patron saint

The events will take place on Thursday, February 20, 2010.

The patron saint of Philosophy y Letras is San Isidoro, whose feast day is April 26th, but since it coincides with exams a few years ago it was decided to move the feast day to the third Thursday of February.           

The program for next Thursday, February 20 is as follows:
- 11.00: Holy Mass at the Amigos Building
- 12.30: Lecture at classroom Magna of Central Building - "Intellectual life: thinking, reading, writing", at position by Professor Jaime Nubiola. department of Philosophy.
- 13.30 to 16:00: Lunch, drum duel and karaoke at the Central Building
- 17.00: Sports
- 19.30: The Beat-Less in concert. auditorium del Sciences Building

Saint Isidore (6th century) became one of the wisest men of his time and a widely read writer. He was called"Master of the Age average" and was the first organizer of Christian culture. His main contribution was the"Etymologies", a work consisting of twenty books in which the religious and secular knowledge of the time is collected.
