The School of Architecture of the University of Navarra and the file General of the University have organized a sample of drawings by Francisco Íñiguez, who was Full Professor of History of Art and Architecture at campus. It will remain at the School's entrance hall until October 25 and the exhibitor's works will be changed throughout the days.

The complete collection held by the University of Navarra includes engravings and watercolors, although the vast majority of these drawings are made in pencil. In them, the author deals with subjects such as the interior of cathedrals, landscapes, facades of emblematic constructions...

Francisco Íñiguez obtained his architect's degree in 1925 from degree scroll . His vocation was directed towards the conservation and restoration of architectural monuments. In 1931 he was awarded the project for the reform of the Casino Mercantil in Zaragoza and from that same year he taught as an assistant professor at the technical school of Architecture in Madrid, where he obtained the Chair of Art Theory and Building Composition in 1940. He worked as a tenured professor until 1950, when he was appointed director of the Spanish School of History and Archaeology in Rome.

In 1947 he began his work on the restoration of the Aljafería Palace in Zaragoza, for which he was awarded the award "Ricardo Magdalena". In 1958 he returned to Madrid to resume his activity professor, as professor of History of Architecture. In 1971 he retired as Full Professor from the University and published his work Arte medieval navarro (Pamplona, 1971), in five illustrated volumes.

In 1980, the Real Academia de Nobles y Bellas Artes de San Luis de Zaragoza named him Honorary Academician for a lifetime of dedication to the restoration of architectural heritage.
