Within the program, trainees perform banking supervision tasks within a team of work international manager to supervise some of the largest banks in Europe. This includes analyzing risk appetite, capital adequacy or reviewing internal governance rules. We work alongside a group of analysts under the coordinator team while participating in a training program focused on technical and general skills.

Why did you decide to apply to this selection process?

I was doing an internship at PwC's Financial Regulation Unit when I was made aware of this opportunity. The Unit is made up of a team of very experienced professionals from whom I learned a lot. They offered very good working conditions and it was a very good opportunity to start my degree program professional career. However, this ECB program really caught my attention, not only because of the great opportunity for further training, but also because of its international profile .

What do you expect to learn during the program at the ECB?

I hope to better understand the role core topic played by the ECB in banking supervision, and the process and actions it undertakes under the regulatory framework with the goal to maintain a strong and stable financial system.
