School of Economics, second place in the International Business Ethics Case Competition

The team presented a study on the recent scandals at UBER, the private transportation company.

The team of the School of Economics of the University of Navarra formed by students Alba Arqué, Jose Luis Bootello, Javier Soto-Largo and Erkuden Urdaci won the second Alba Arqué, Jose Luis Bootello, Javier Soto-Largo and Erkuden Urdaci obtained the second place award in the International Business Ethics Competition. International Business Ethics Competition held last April 20 in Boston, USA.

The Dean of the School of Economics and professor of Business Ethics, Ignacio Ferrero, advised the team that presented a study on the recent UBER scandals, graduate: "Fixing Uber: Corporate Culture Matters".

One of the particularities of this Case Competition is that it requires students to carry out not only a strategic or financial analysis of a specific business status , but also a legal and ethical one. This allows students to apply much of the knowledge acquired over the last 6 years. In addition, unlike other Case Competitions, students bring the case prepared in advance, after several months of study and analysis.

IBECC is highly recognized and hosts some of the most prestigious universities worldwide. More than 39 universities participated in the 2018 edition, a record number in its history.
